In December 2021, Midnight Breeze was born, inviting people to walk the lonely road and feel the midnight breeze. Minted at 0.069 ETH, the collection sold out in just 40 minutes, with 3,000 collectors beginning their journey. It became one of the first projects to push the boundaries of generative art, shifting focus from characters to landscapes and subtle storytelling.

In 2022, Dutchtide took it further, offering high-quality, hand-printed physical copies of each piece. Within the first month, almost 200 prints were sold, turning digital collectibles into tangible art. The collection has since traded nearly 5,000 ETH (over $12 million) and maintains a strong, active community. Plans are underway to bring Midnight Breeze to life with the upcoming "V2" release (name TBA).

Dutchtide, an artist from the Netherlands, specialises in digital painting, 3D, animation, and concept art. With a deep understanding of lighting, colour, and emotional subtleties, his work is heavily influenced by classic anime and vaporwave aesthetics. He often blends these styles exploring the intricate contrasts through the Japanese concept of "Ma" (間), meaning "space" or the "in-between state," to evoke a strong emotional response.

Since 2019, Dutchtide has led his indie studio, with "Midnight Breeze" standing as his magnum opus and longest-running project. Livestreaming the process daily in his Discord, he brought the community into the creative journey. Inspired by Japanese artists, his work explores themes of life, death, presence, and absence, gamifying these ideas to create a unique collectible experience for participants.
